Tim Hanske
Captain Tim Hanske was born in the Brainerd Lakes Area and has been fishing the surrounding lakes, including Leech and Mille Lacs, his entire life. Tim lives in Baxter, MN, with his wife Kaarin and their three boys. Tim has professionally guided for 22+ years, primarily for walleyes, muskies, northern pike, smallmouth, and largemouth. Tim prides himself on staying on top of the multi-species bite on many lakes in the area. Tim is also an avid fly fisherman for largemouth, smallmouth, and muskies and is willing to go on fly fishing-specific guide trips. When you spend a day with Capt. Hanske, you can expect to actively look for hungry fish while laughing and learning about fishing, the lake, and the area…or wherever the conversation leads. Capt. Tim enjoys all types of abilities in his boat and loves taking kids fishing! Tim is also a special education teacher (8 years) and a youth hockey (mini-Mite and Mite) coach. Until 2023, Tim ran ice fishing rentals and guided trips in the winter for 17 years. Tim is known for constantly striving to find the next hot bite, sharing his passion for fishing, and working hard to ensure his guests enjoy their special day on the water!
