Fishing Trips

Being a Minnesota fishing guide is truly a passion for every one of our guides. When not on the water with clients we are on the water with our families, friends or pre-fishing for tournaments. This really is something that we have a true passion and love for.

Leisure Outdoor Adventures has the experience, expertise, knowledge and equipment to make your adventure on the water with them a trip of a lifetime. Whether your looking for a Leech Lake Fishing Guide, Cass Lake Fishing Guide or another area lake, our fishing guides have been hand selected based on their knowledge and love of fishing. Our staff is not a group of individuals assembled under a name, but rather a group of very close friends that collectively work together as a team to provide you with the absolute best experience you can have.

Knowing that people have very busy and hectic schedules we try to be very flexible with our trips. Based on the amount of time you have, we can provide a trip that will fit into your schedule.

If you are looking for something different or looking for a more customized trip or package we can do that as well. Simply use the contact us page or call 855-LOA-Hook (855-562-4665) and we will be happy to work on a custom trip for you.

Appropriate Clothing for the Weather

Layered Clothing:

  • Base Layers: Start with moisture-wicking base layers to keep you dry and comfortable. This is especially important in colder weather.
  • Mid Layers: Bring insulating mid layers such as fleece or wool to provide warmth without adding bulk.
  • Outer Layers: A weather-resistant outer layer, like a windbreaker or softshell jacket, will protect you from the elements while allowing for movement.

Seasonal Attire:

  • Summer: Lightweight, breathable clothing is ideal for warm weather. Don't forget a hat and sunglasses to protect against the sun.
  • Spring and Fall: Temperatures can vary, so bring versatile clothing that can be layered. A good quality jacket and thermal layers are recommended.
  • Winter: For ice fishing, insulated and waterproof clothing is a must. Thermal gloves, hats, and boots will keep you warm on the ice.

Waterproof Clothing:

  • Rain Jacket: A high-quality, waterproof rain jacket will keep you dry during unexpected showers. Look for one with a hood and breathable fabric to stay comfortable.
  • Rain Pants: Waterproof pants are essential to keep you dry from the waist down, especially if you'll be sitting in a boat or on wet surfaces.
  • Waterproof Boots: Sturdy, waterproof boots will keep your feet dry and warm, whether you're on a boat or the shoreline.
  • Rain Hat: A wide-brimmed rain hat can provide extra protection against the rain, keeping your face and neck dry
Additional Recommended Items

  • Waterproof Cases: Protect your camera or smartphone with a waterproof case to ensure it stays dry and functional in wet conditions.

Sun Protection:

  • Sunscreen: Even on cloudy days, sunscreen is essential to protect your skin from UV rays.
  • Lip Balm: A lip balm with SPF will protect your lips from sun exposure and wind.

Comfort and Convenience:

  • Sunglasses: Polarized sunglasses reduce glare and help you see into the water, making it easier to spot fish.
