<\/a>evening bobber bite for walleyes continues to be very good with all the wind and rain keeping the water temperatures down. Chunk rock and sandy shorelines with a minnow or a leech can be deadly after 8pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\nSmallmouth Bass fishing is excellent along chunk rock shorelines. Jerk-baits and paddle tails have been by far the best presentations this past week. The fish are up on their beds and they are aggressive!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
WEST END:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The bite for walleyes remains great on the west side of Lake Vermilion. The best bite has been dragging a Lindy Rig and a leech around mud to sand or mud to rock transitions in 18-30 feet of water. It is nice to see high numbers of eater fish on the west side!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another bite to pay attention too is the walleyes in the weeds. Drive around with side-imaging and find points or inside turns in the weedlines in 8-15 feet of water. Cast slip-bobbers with leeches, minnows, or crawlers at the fish and wait for them to drop!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
