willing to move around to catch the active fish can be key in having a good day on the water. There are still fish to be caught on the 12-15’ rock piles, and being mobile with this bite is key as well.

WEST END WALLEYES: Fishing continues to be steady with lots of nice walleyes being caught if you’re willing to put in the work. Transition areas in 18-32 feet are still the best areas to key in on, and staying mobile is as key as it is on the east end. Lindy Rigs tipped with a leech, crawler, or rainbow have been a great bet, as is a leech and a slip-bobber.

SMALLMOUTH BASS: Fishing has been very good with lots of bass still being willing to bite. Chunk rock shorelines next to sand and weeds are always a good bet, as are the tops of the mid-lake rock piles. The best ways to fish for them are jerkbaits, ned rigs, swimbaits, and even a slip-bobber and a leech or a crawler.
